First Teaser For Disney’s Live-Action ‘Christopher Robin’ | Film Trailer

Disney has released the first teaser trailer for their new live-action Winnie The Pooh movie, Christopher Robin. The new film is in line with Disney’s recent updates of their classic tales such as Beauty And The Beast and The Jungle Book, not strictly being a remake and instead focusing on being a new iteration of classic characters.

This film comes from director Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Quantum Of Solace), and stars Ewan McGregor as a grown up version of the title character who has lost his way. Now, his childhood friends Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and others venture into his new world looking to help him remember his past self.

The teaser is short and we only get a brief look at Pooh, but it’s more than enough to tug at the heartstrings and bring back warm memories of childhood. Pooh’s live-action look is very cute and this already looks like a film that will make bucketloads at the box office based on nostalgia alone.

The film was originally conceived by talented indie director Alex Ross Perry, but he departed the director’s chair and now only the screenplay is credited to him and Allison Schroeder (Hidden Figures).

The film also stars Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, and Mark Gatiss, and features the voices of Jim Cummings (Pooh), Chris O’Dowd (Tigger), Brad Garrett (Eeyore), Toby Jones (Owl), Nick Mohammed (Piglet), Peter Capaldi (Rabbit) and Sophie Okonedo (Kanga).

Christopher Robin opens in cinemas Friday, August 3.
