The first trailer for Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao‘s Marvel film, Eternals, has been released, and it’s a big one.
It shows a plethora of illustrious characters who arrived on Earth millennia ago and helped humans with agriculture and water control, among other things. Then, in a time jump, they find themselves in modern times and have to face an unidentified enemy.
In the comics, this clique comes from an ancient and super-powerful race born from Celestial experiments on humans. On the level of a Captain Marvel, if not more so.
The cast to play these superheroes is a five-star cast. We’re talking about actors like Richard Madden, as Ikaris, the all-powerful leader of the Eternals, who can fly, shoot cosmic energy beams from his eyes and has super strength, and Angelina Jolie as Thena, a warrior who can create any weapon from cosmic energy.
Salma Hayek plays Ajak, Lia McHugh is Sprite, Barry Keoghan plays Druig and Kit Harington is Dane Whitman, aka the Dark Knight.
Lauren Ridloff plays Makkari, the first deaf superhero in the MCU, and Brian Tyree Henry will play Phastos, the first openly gay superhero.
You will be able to see Eternals in the cinema from November 5.
