First Trailer For ‘My Spy’ Involves Dave Bautista And The 9-Years-Old Chloe Coleman | Film Trailer

The first My Spy trailer unveils a new gig for Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Dave Bautista, co starring alongside the young Chloe Coleman, who also stars in Big Little Lies as Bonnie’s daughter Skye Carlson. She’s a precious 9-year-old sick of the bullies at her school. Together, they’re the latest dynamic duo of action-comedies.

My Spy follows JJ, a hardened CIA operative (Dave Bautista) who has been demoted and finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl, named Sophie (Chloe Coleman) where he has been sent undercover begrudgingly to surveil her family.

When Sophie discovers hidden cameras in her apartment, she uses her tech savviness to locate where the surveillance operation is set. In exchange for not blowing JJ’s cover, Sophie convinces him to spend time with her and teach her to be a spy. Despite his reluctance, JJ finds he is no match for Sophie’s disarming charm and wit.

My Spy is part of STX Entertainment’s upcoming lineup, which was previewed during the CinemaCon festivities this week along with Bad Moms’ Moms and Chadwick Boseman’s 21 Bridges. It’s directed by Peter Segal (Get Smart) from a script penned by Jon and Erich Hoeber (Red), and also stars Ken Jeong and Kristen Schaal. My Spy arrives in theaters later this year.
