In the build-up to the release of sports comedy Uncle Drew starring none other than NBA baller Kyrie Irving, it looks like they have unveiled another song from the soundtrack and it features two juggernauts of the rap game. Having previously collaborated on a few songs including the hit record “All The Way Up“, French Montana and Remy Ma are back at it again with “New Thang“.
Harry Fraud, another frequent collaborator, is in charge of the production and he’s managed to whip up another head-nodder with your classic trap beat and the sounds of the sax on loop. French brings his A-Game, dropping a couple Wu-Tang references in the mix before Remy comes in and finishes it all off with flames.
“New Thang” follows previously released singles “Cocky” with ASAP Rocky, Gucci Mane and 21 Savage as well as G-Eazy, Yo Gotti and YBN Nahmir‘s “1942“. The rest of the soundtrack features songs from GoldLink, Logic, Wiz Khalifa, Khalid and even Irving. The film hits US theaters on June 29 before reaching UK shores in July.
