Gabrielle Aplin Makes ‘Light Up The Dark’ Album Available For Pre-Order | Music News

For those who don’t know her, Gabrielle Aplin is a 22-year old British singer-songwriter, who became more and more popular following her cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “The Power of Love” in the 2012 John Lewis Christmas television advert. Her debut album English Rain was released in May 2013 to much success, and now her highly anticipated second album Light Up The Dark, which is out on September 18, is available for pre-order.

Featuring her newly released track “Heavy Heart”, the album is predicted to be an even bigger success. With influences from artists like Joni Mitchel and Feist, Aplin says, “I’ve become much more comfortable writing songs about other people’s stories as well as my own, much of which is inspired by travelling and everything I’ve seen since my first album.”. I’m a big fan of her single “Heavy Heart”, so I have big expectations for the rest of the album, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. To pre-order Light Up The Dark, click here.
