Sarife Afonso has released her first single titled “Careful”, which is considered her first steps in sharing her love for the music that reflect who she is as an artist to those around her.
Sarife resides in Hamburg, Germany and will be releasing her very first EP Relations in the autumn, and before that, she is introducing her unforgettable R&B tunes with intimate vibes by releasing “Careful”.
The main theme that the single revolves around is the importance of mental health and the ability to voice your emotions and be transparent with what you really feel. The song carefully underlines the difficulty of opening up and being vulnerable, but at the same time, it shows the excitement that comes along with it.
Sarife Afonso has also worked as a background singer and studio musician in several projects and festivals since 2018. In 2019, she finished 3rd place at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, and a year later, she went on to study at the Hamburg School of Music.
What is even more impressive about this artist is that she has been the lead singer of several cover-band projects, and was also a solo-singer at Family Life Hotel (TUI) for a stint in 2017. She also has previous experience working on several theatre productions like My Fair Lady and Hair, among other achievements.
