Supermodel and style icon Gisele Bundchen announced this week her plans to retire from the world of modelling next month during São Paulo Fashion Week in the 34-year old’s native Brazil. After a career spanning over twenty years where she has been named the highest-paid model for the last eight years, Bundchen is credited as being the world’s “last remaining supermodel” by other fashion heavyweights like Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer. Brazilian publication Moda Estadão reported it was the ex-Victoria’s Secret model’s dream to end her career where it began, being discovered by Elite Models in São Paulo at the age of 14.
