Gorillaz – Sorcererz | New Music
Gorillaz fever is well and truly here. With the star-studded, sensational return of Gorillaz after a six year hiatus in the form of Humanz, it seems like the follow-up couldn’t come soon enough, with the announcement of another album coming this year. With The Now Now set for release at the end of the month, we are treated to the third single to be churned from the project by the ever impressive virtual band, “Sorcererz“.
“Sorcererz” is a synth-heavy song, underpinned by damp funk rhythms and lead Damon Albarn‘s vocals. The track was one of four unheard tracks that featured on the group’s Rock Im Park headline set last Friday. It’s a little more tame in comparison to previous singles “Humility” and “Lake Zurich“.
To help further push the album, it was announced that the stellar line-up of Erykah Badu, The Internet, DRAM, Kilo Kish, Little Simz and more will share the stage with Gorillaz at their annual Demon Dayz Festival on October 20. Until then, get yourselves ready as The Now Now is set to drop on June 29.
