Gregory Alan Isakov has announced a long awaited tour of 18 dates around Europe starting on October 17th in Brighton and finishing on November 7th in Paris, in support of his successful 2013 album The Weatherman. This tour will be his first in Europe since the release of the album last year, and will start with five UK headline shows, including London’s Bush Hall on October 21st.
The album The Weatherman was produced by Isakov himself along with Jamie Mefford. When describing his album Isakov explains, “I wanted to make something that felt genuine. We recorded everything with analogue gear and mixed it on tape, which gives the songs a raw and vulnerable feeling. The idea of a weatherman is really powerful. There’s a guy on television or on the radio telling us the future, and nobody cares. It’s this daily mundane miracle, and I think the songs I chose are about noticing the beauty in normal, everyday life”.
If the Tour is anything like his sensational and highly acclaimed album, then the tour is set to be amazing for you. If you would like to find out more information you can check out Isakov’s website. Full European Tour Dates are listed below.
