Greta Gerwig And Noah Baumbach Unveil Trailer For Upcoming Netflix Movie ‘White Noise’

A winning trio is coming back to the big screen: Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, and Noah Baumbach are reuniting in the upcoming Netflix movie White Noise.

Noah and Greta, partners in life, are well-known directors that over the past years have conquered a solid position among the best film directors in the world, also gaining Academy Awards nominations.

Marriage Story, Lady Bird, and Little Women (all Oscar nominees or winners) are only a few of the masterpieces these incredible artists have been able to produce.

And then, there is him, Adam Driver. One of the most talented actors of his generation, his rise to success was almost simultaneous to the one of Greta and Noah. Among his film, we remember Marriage Story, House of Gucci, The Last Duel, Blackkklansman, and the Star Wars saga (new chapters).

Adam, Greta, and Noah, all collaborated in the 2012 film Frances Ha and they will now repeat the same line-up used back then, with Baumbach as director, and Driver as a leading actor alongside Gerwig.

White Noise is based on the 1985 satirical novel of the same name written by Don DeLillo, and as we can see from the trailer released by Netflix, the plot follows the story of a family afraid of death.

Adam Driver will play the father, Jack Gladney, a Hitler Studies professor, while Gerwig will interpret his wife, Babette. Over the course of the story, this family will face down their own mortality after an “airborne toxic event” near their home, leading to them being pulled apart and Jack’s fear becoming an obsession.

White Noise will premiere at the 79th Venice Film Festival on August 31 and it will be released on Netflix at the end of the year.
