Alessandro Michele, creative director of Gucci, has a well-documented love of Britain. During Gucci’s presentation of their Spring/Summer 2017 collection in London’s Westminster, Abbey Michele commented “I Love English people“, which is perhaps why he has chosen to collaborate with Chatsworth House on a cultural programme that will focus on fashion and style.
A statement from Gucci read, “From punk rock to Capability Brown landscape gardens, Michele often takes inspiration from a wide range of British sources […] Michele sees Chatsworth as a natural partner for Gucci“. Speculation suggests the Chatsworth House partnership will involve an exhibition, the estate’s largest to date, which will run from March to October next year.
