Harmony Korine burst onto the cultural scene with his screenplay for indie classic Kids, which he wrote at the tender age of 19. Since then, Korine has written and directed Gummo, Mister Lonely and Spring Breakers.
He has also turned to his hand to producing, has directed music videos for the likes of Sonic Youth and The Black Keys, and has written songs with Bjork and Lana Del Rey. And, on top of this, Korine is also an acclaimed author and visual artist.
Korine will be showcasing his artistic skills from February 8 to March 24 in a solo show of his paintings entitled Fazors, at the Gagosian Gallery, Davies Street, London. To tie in with this showcase, Korine will also be popping down to the BFI on London’s Southbank on Wednesday February 10 to discuss his body of work.
The event starts at 8.50pm and tickets, priced from £8.35 – £10.65, can be purchased via the BFI website or the box office on 020 7928 3232. It’s selling very well, but, at the moment, seats are still available.
