“Hello my name is Paul Smith. You’ll probably need an aspirin after my Design Museum show”, says Paul Smith, one of the biggest and best ever British fashion designer. His famous design is mainly classic colour stripes and strong British style clothing. In the corner of the exhibition wall, covered with 7000 different styles of buttons of different colours. Each one represents a Paul Smith shop on Earth.
The exhibition explores the first store he opened in Nottingham and also explores his workflow environment among other exciting things, offering a unique insight to the talent that is Paul Smith. The exhibition came to a close at The Lighthouse yesterday (March 20), so keep an eye out for where next it will pop up in the UK.
