After a series of tough battles last month, eight house and tech house DJ’s have made it to the finals. They’re competing to win a chance to perform next to some of the worlds top DJ’s, underground artists and rising stars from across Europe at Ayia Napa House Party – the 6-day festival in Cyprus.
Ayia Napa House Party and AuralSex have given young budding artists the opportunity to climb up the DJ ladder and now eight of the best ones are preparing for the final battle, taking place in Portsmouth, on 11th of March. Meet all of the lucky ones below:
Tony Williams, aka One DJ, started mixing music in his bedroom almost six years ago, using his PC and a small Numark controller. Since then his experience and taste for music has grown massively. You can follow him here.
Davy Walls has always been at the forefront of electronic music, playing various genres. With 2 full albums under his belt, he has gained major exposure with his Eminem bootleg, made it to mainstream radio in the UK and went viral around the world. Check him out on Soundcloud.
Nick Heath was inspired by his dad, who was a radio DJ in the army. At the age of 15 he got into the drum and bass scene, but a lot has changed since then – now he has a wife, 5 beautiful children, a collection of vinyl, and a growing collection of house, tech house, acid and techno music.
The only woman among the finalists, DeeAfro has been DJ-ing in clubs since the age of 18 and she has already played in many countries all over the world. She’s a real party started a rare treat to watch! Follow DeeAfro here.
Self taught East London’s DJ Haydn Wells, aka Blue Kandi, has played in some of the most popular city’s venues. His unique sound varies from techno to garage, but house genres are his main focus. Motivation and hunger – that’s the key elements of how he managed to make it to the industry. Check him out here.
The highlights of Latvian DJ and producer Nicky Miles‘ career include David Guetta‘s world tour, where he has played on VIP stage and support from various world class DJ’s including Martin Garrix, DANNIC and a lot more. Listen to his works here.
Liverpool’s DJ Nathan B’JaMn has started following his dream only last year, but immediately found love for techno and tech house music. He’s focused on expressing his feelings and taking people on journeys through time, using the power of his sets. Check out his music here.
Another UK-based Latvian DJ Ed McGuire or Edgars Vasilis has made his first steps in DJ-ing already in school, playing at discos and on school radio. Eventually his hometown became too small and he moved to UK to take a course in DJ Academy Organisation and play in various events across country. Follow him here.
When the overall winner will be chosen, he’ll get a chance to play at the greatest house music festival this year, taking place on April 23-28 in the beautiful resort town Ayia Napa in Cyprus.
