Holliday Grainger To Star In BBC Adaptation Of ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’ | TV News
Holliday Grainger has been cast as the lead in the new BBC adaptation of Lady Chatterley’s Lover. Richard Madden, famous for his role as Robb Stark in Game of Thrones will be playing gamekeeper Oliver Mellors. Actor James Norton has been cast as Lady Chatterley’s war-wounded husband Sir Clifford. The novel written by D.H Lawrence tells the story of an upper-class lady’s affair with her gamekeeper, and was censored for nearly 30 years, after being published in 1928.
The adaption is a Hartswood Films production in association with Serena Cullen Productions. Filming of the period drama is to commence in Wales this October and will air in 2015. Hartswood Films executive producer Beryl Vertue said of the adaptation, “I am delighted to be working with Serena Cullen who developed this exciting project, and Jed’s great screenplay has enabled us to attract these fine actors“.
