Iconic TV Show ‘Friends’ Wraps Filming For Reunion Special | TV News

The Friends official instagram account announced exciting news this Sunday: the filming of their special reunion episode has been completed. Fans have been waiting for it for a long time and it should not be too long now.

Postponed several times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and further delaying the reunion of friends Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, it seems the reunion special will be here in no time.

“That’s a wrap! Could we BE anymore excited!? ‘Friends: The Reunion’ is coming to @hbomax“, revealed the series on Instagram. This generated many positive reactions on the web and the post has already been liked more than 2 million times.

Lisa Kudrow a.k.a Phoebe Buffay a.k.a Regina Phalange previously shared more details about the reunion during an episode of Literally! With Rob Lowe:

“It is not a reboot, it is not like a scripted thing, we are not portraying our characters, it is us getting together, which just doesn’t happen and has never happened in front of other people since 2004 when we stopped”, she said.

It is not going to be a scripted episode but rather a conversation where the actors will evoke their memories from the series. They published some pictures of the shooting a few days ago, where the famous sofa from the show’s credits could be seen, as well as Monica’s flat. However, the photos have since been deleted from Instagram.

The episode will be broadcast on the HBO Max platform but the release date has not yet been communicated. The fans who remain faithful to the famous squad 17 years after should be able to wait a little more.
