For weeks, nay months, the question of who will be the next 007 has been a hot topic. One name that hasn’t been left alone is Idris Elba, known primarily for his gritty role in Luther. Despite having shown some interest for the role in the past, Elba seems to have grown tired of all the speculation. The star claimed that at first he thought all the rumours were “harmless” but it’s escalated to the extent of “starting racial debates”. Responses in regards to the idea of Elba playing Bond have varied, often causing some racial controversy, but many seem to be convinced he’d be a perfect change-up to the role.
