Irish Artist And Producer Chameleon Drops New Single ‘I Never Knew You Well’

Irish singer-songwriter and producer Chameleon has announced the release of his latest single, “I Never Knew You Well” offering a glimpse into the sound and vision of his upcoming EP Call Me Twice Pt. 1 set to drop on the 11th of July.

The track is a synth-driven, alternative R&B piece that proves Chameleon’s ability to transcend genres as he provides deep emotions with his haunted vocals. The single “I Never Knew You Well” dives into the complexities of human emotions and hidden desires.

His project was inspired by James Blake’s production genius, Thom Yorke’s vocals, and Childish Gambino during the Redbone era. His background in film studies and his passion for visual storytelling play a crucial role in his music, adding layers of depth and narrative to his work.

Talking about the artistic process on the creation of his new EP, Chameleon shares, “This EP marks the first step towards a sound I’ve been searching for for years. I am, by nature, a perfectionist. My creativity rarely matches up to my taste. And so, when I occasionally find myself in a position where I am satisfied with something I have made, I’m certain I’ll cherish it forever. I adore Call Me Twice Pt. 1.

In addition to the EP announcement, Chameleon has revealed his return to live performances with a headline show at Dublin’s Workman’s Cellar on the 17th of July. Having toured with artists like 49th & Main and KhakiKid in 2023, Chameleon is poised to elevate his live performances in 2024.
