Canadian-born Israeli musician Alex Moshe aka Folly Tree has linked up once again with Raw Tapes rising star and fellow Israeli artist Iogi for a new single titled “On & On“. It is the second single from Folly Tree’s upcoming album Remedies, which is set for release on March 30.
Their second track together is an intimate and sincere collaboration between Folly Tree and Iogi that sees the artists tackling a dying relationship and the beautiful things awaiting once daring to break the ongoing loops of fear. It comes on the back of her last offering “Mad Is The Beast” about overcoming trauma and self empowerment.
Commenting on the inspiration behind “On & On”, Folly Tree says, “this is the second track released from my upcoming album ‘Remedies’. ‘On & On’ is an intimate piece that is very dear to me, and is quite different from the rest of the album. This song is about the beautiful things awaiting if we dare to break our loops of fear“.
Folly Tree is known for her gorgeous, textured, experimental folk songs that explore the complex emotions of budding love and healing trauma. Speaking about how she came up with her name, Folly Tree says, “I woke up and thought, what’s the opposite of the Tree of Knowledge? Something more intuitive, nonjudgmental, celebrating foolishness. A folly tree”.
Revered as a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, Folly Tree has developed into being one of the most prominent musicians in the vivid Tel Aviv music scene, and having signed to boutique label Raw Tapes, her album Remedies is up next in March.
