ISSEY MIYAKE Collaborates With Tadanori Yokoo For A-POC Blouson Collection

Issey Miyake’s artistic collaboration with TADANORI YOKOO for a new batch of blousons as part of the A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE project continues.

This release will see Mr. YOKOO’s works of woodblock prints where he employs Sharaku Toshusai‘s images of Kabuki performers as motifs, combining his passion for artwork with the fun of wearing apparel.

TADANORI YOKOO accepts imperfections and experiments with off-registration to produce “accidental” images with an emphasis on outlines utilizing color to make it appear as if the weave itself is misaligned in the spectrum of purposely misaligned images.

This release will be restricted in quantity, with each piece being personally numbered. More information may be found on the special TADANORI YOKOO ISSEY MIYAKE website, which is priced at 198,000 JPY (roughly USD 1,350).
