ITV‘s hit drama about a crime fighting duo in the 1950s will return for a third run after impressive viewing figures and fan following. The show stars James Norton, from Happy Valley and War & Peace, who plays a charming clergyman called Sidney Chambers. His sidekick played by Robson Green, plays a tough police inspector called Geordie Keating.
The show has received an average of 6.6 million viewers and has been praised for its quirky nature and relaxed setting. The first series was based on six stories from the Sidney Chambers and the Shadow of Death Book. The synopsis for the show is also based on James Runcie’s The Grantchester Mysteries. We will have to wait until later in the year to see what adventures and cliffhangers series three will bring.
