Jackson Howard has just released his third album New Day Begun! It is composed of indie folk sounds including the single “Angel Of The Fire”, which he premiered live at Locks At Sauna on Main Street in Manayunk on February 1
Music wasn’t the only thing Jackson did in his career. Prior to making music full-time, he earned a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology. His unlikely reorientation towards music coloured his writing and influenced his approach to this field.
Relaxed and raw, he is inspired by James Taylor or Jim Croce. The folk-rock artist is rigorous and pays great attention to detail, both in the lyrics and in the guitar.
In Philadelphia, the artist has performed at numerous venues such as the Colonial Theatre, the World Cafe Live, the Tin Angel and the Philadelphia Folk Festival. But Jackson did not only perform in Philadelphia. The artist has also performed in Canada, Iceland, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
In 2017, the artist released his second album Just For The Mystery, which was a great success.
The album was played on over 90 different radio stations and was licensed by MTV, E!, Discovery and Netflix for use in their programs. If you want to see him live, his next date (and not the last) will be February 19, at Sofar Sounds in Philadelphia!
