“Dedication 2”, the new single from Jahan Nostra featuring Masta Ace, Tahmell and REKS, is the upbeat hymn for every hip-hop fan who isn’t shy about proclaiming their devotion to the general public.
The breezy production from Chicago-based Buda Bap Beats, who are originally from Australia, would be uplifting even if it weren’t for the thoughtful lyrics that’s floating over it.
The song is very catchy and very pleasant to listen to, the instrumentation is very nice and totally in tune with the rappers doing their thing on it.
The song is taken from Nostra’s upcoming EP Violet Skies: Volume 1, which is set for release this week.
Award-winning emcee Jahan Nostra hails from Mount Vernon, New York, and Stamford, Connecticut, but he spent his early years in Mount Vernon, the hometown of Pete Rock, Heavy D, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Jahan Nostra has released three albums, worked with Tone Trump, Ceschi, Hakim Green (Channel Live), and the legendary Smif-N-Wessun, and he has won numerous accolades, including ‘Best Male Artist’ at the 2019 Urban MediaMakers Festival and ‘Best Music Video’ at the 2019 Hip Hop Film Festival.
Jahan started rhyming at the age of 9, thanks to his musically gifted neighbours. Jahan continued to hone his lyrical skills after relocating to the inner-city of Stamford, Connecticut, and at the age of 13, he was signed to the Brooklyn-based label BMX Entertainment.
