Jake Isaac Collaborates With India Arie On New Single ‘Gold’ | Music News

British folk singer Jake Isaac has released a new single “Gold” featuring R&B Grammy-winner India Arie. After “Remember”, “Good”, and “Eyes For You”, “Gold” represents the fourth consecutive single from the London-based singer, all of which will appear on his album Honesty due out in early March.

This track is an acoustic ballad where Jake and India both deliver exceptional vocal performances, full of emotion lulled by soft guitar chords. “Gold was a song that I literally wrote on my kitchen floor the first week of lockdown in 2020. I think it was because I found myself reminiscing of summers past and great weather and freedom to do what we want without a mask”, said Jake Isaac.

The folk singer also expressed his gratitude for his collaboration with India Arie. “It was so special having India on this song, she’s literally one of the reasons I started writing with a guitar in my hand.”

However, this is not Jake Isaac’s first collaboration, he has already released tracks in the past with Julia Stone, Cynthia Erivo, Duffy, Paloma Faith, Joan as Policewoman, Gabrielle, and Shuggie Otis. In addition, last year he was invited to Stephen Colbert’s Late Show to perform his milestone single “New York”.

As for India Arie, this American singer from Denver has sold more than 10 million records worldwide, has won four Grammy Awards, and has been nominated 23 times. Recently she released a version of the James Brown classic “Georgia On My Mind”.
