James Bailey And Stripess Collaborate On New Single ‘Smart Girls’ | Music News

 

25-year-old hip-hop singer James Bailey has released his latest single, “Smart Girls”, featuring San Francisco based house artist Stripess! Stripess is known for his sounds“One Of Those Nights,” “Feel You,” “Flex Ya Chest,” “Here,” and “Uno,” and appears on BZAR‘s “IN UR ARMS”, “Test Drive” from Darien Fiels, and many others.

 

The artist James Bailey has been passionate about music from a very young age. At the age of 10, he started playing the saxophone, inspired by his uncle Karl Denson, who was a saxophonist with the Rolling Stones. He started rapping when he was 15. He’s leaving Los Angeles in 2011 to go to the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.

 

During his career, he opened for Lupe Fiasco and Lil Dicky. He draws his inspiration from artists such as Big Pun, 2Pac, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Redman, SZA, Rihanna, Nirvana, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, and many others.

 

The music “Smart Girls” is a danceable mix of rap, R&B and house music. This track, which is the 6th episode of James Bailey’s playlist Mack Summer, is about the female intellect, changing from the love stories we’re used to hearing. He also released the songs “Growing Pains”, “Coast”, “Shotgun”, “Bad Tatoo” and “Nostalgia ’93”.
