Acoustic guitar chords layered over a soft but thuggish drum beat and filled to the brim with adlibs, this collaboration manages to have a sweet, sunny vibe, in perfect time with summer just around the corner. With Jay Prince’s full and animated musical charisma and Kojey’s deep yet poetic rap flow, “Love Is” compliments both rappers equally as well as they artistically address essentially what ‘love is’ – plain and simple.
