Sixteen years after they teamed up on Catch Me If You Can, Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg are likely to reunite on a new historical drama. Deadline just revealed that the two are in the talks to adapt the life story of Ulysses S. Grant, the Civil War general who went on to become the 18th President of the United States.
The Lionsgate project will give Spielberg another exciting opportunity to explore the Civil War, five years after his Oscar-winning biopic Lincoln. In addition to playing the lead role, DiCaprio will also produce the movie, which is set to be based on the biography Grant by Ron Chernow.
This new collaboration between Spielberg and DiCaprio ought to be interesting, and we wish it to be as memorable as the previous one.
