JD, the leading retailer in youth fashion, sports, and lifestyle brands, announces its role as the ‘Official Sleeve Partner’ for Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) for the 2024/25 season.
To commemorate this partnership, JD and Wolves collaborated with Reepa, a Wolves Records artist and Wolves Foundation ambassador, and Mutual, a Birmingham-born artist and producer. They created a unique track and launch video in honor of this union.
This partnership will extend JD’s support across the Wolves men’s first team, Wolves Women, and the academy teams, showcasing JD’s commitment to promoting sports culture alongside fashion innovation. As part of this sponsorship, the JD logo will be prominently displayed on the sleeves of Wolves players, in order to symbolize the synergy between sports and fashion.
Chris Waters, Global Managing Director at JD, expressed his excitement about the partnership: “JD is delighted to welcome Wolves to our growing roster of top-tier football sponsorships. This collaboration marks a new chapter in our commitment to celebrating sports culture and amplifying the spirit of teamwork. We are thrilled to stand alongside Wolves and champion the values of passion, integrity, and excellence that define both our brands.”
Reepa has written and recorded a track titled “Green Light Grove” This track features a string arrangement by Rosie Danvers, arranger for artists like Stormzy, Dave, Little Simz, Coldplay, and even Adele.
For the music video, the track was performed live by a 30-piece string orchestra from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, making this collaboration unforgettable.
