Joey Bada$$ has decided to celebrate his birthday in an original way, indeed the New York rapper has chosen to offer his fans a new single entitled “Let It Breathe” for his 26th birthday.
This new track produced by Statik Selektah is a track that starts with a jazzy intro and then moves to a bass dependent rhythm, giving an introspective look at his brilliant career.
The single also comes with a music video directed by Levi Turner and Waqas Ghani, which features Joey driving new lemon green Porsche through his hometown New York, and was shot the day before his birthday.
This release is the first appearance of the rapper in 2021, as a reminder that his last work dates back to July 2020 where he unveiled a 3-track EP titled The Light Pack.
Shortly after its release Joey used his Instagram account to announce the track. Indeed he posted a visual of his clip adding, “As promised, here’s a gift to you for my Gday. #LetItBreathe official video out now…P.S. we shot this last night”.
With his last solo album dating back to 2017, Joey Bada$$ continues to leave his audience waiting for his next project. For now though, check out his new track “Let It Breathe” below:
