John Craven To Host Daily ‘Country File Diaries’, BBC Confirms | TV News

It seems rather incongruous, with it being more of a day-time show, but Country File has conquered Sunday Nights on the BBC pulling in 8.6 million viewers last month; its biggest every audience.

 

The Corporation looking to build on its success with a new daily spin-off show, Country File Diaries – with John Craven confirmed as its’ host. He will be joined by the shows regulars, Jules Hudson, Paul Martin, and Keeley Donovan, the show coinciding with its parents show spring special and will air on five consecutive weekdays.

 

Craven commented:

 

“I’ve been with Countryfile for the best part of 30 years and for me this is a really exciting development, hosting a daily diary that brings viewers the best of our countryside at this magical time of year. We have a great team on board and we can’t wait to get started.”
