Justin Timberlake Officially Announces New Music On The Way | Music News

The man is back! Last month it was reported that Justin Timberlake filed to trademark the phrases ‘Man Of The Woods’ and ‘Fresh Leaves’ for use in music and merchandise and that led to speculation of the possibility of a new album. These rumors have now come to fruition as the singer announced today (Tuesday, January 2nd) that new music is on the way.

The 36 year-old Memphis singer officially announced the news via his Twitter with a minute long video which disclosed that Timberlake’s fifth studio album, titled Man of the Woods, is set for a February 2 release. In the clip, there are snippets of some potential tracks in the background as well as video clips of Timberlake in amongst nature and in the studio recording.

Before the announcement, it had been revealed in October that Justin was set to headline the Super Bowl 52 Half-Time Show to the dismay of many remembering the infamous 2004 Super Bowl performance with Janet Jackson. With his performance set on February 4, it seems like all of this has been masterminded to see great first week sale numbers.

Super Bowl performances usually see artists sales rise significantly so we expect nothing short of another number one album as well as some new, long-awaited, good music.
