It has been hinted all week by the two special partners, and today the official announcement from Karol G has arrived as well. Tomorrow, the remix of her top 50 GLOBAL on Spotify hit “Mi Cama” will be out worldwide.
According to her latest Instagram story – it is incredible how they have become a real source of news these days – she produced the remix and created the video with Nicky Jam & J Balvin on July 8 and it will be out on Friday 13, perfectly on time for a good weekend start.
Karol G debuted in the music scene was back in 2013 thanks to a fortunate collaboration with Puerto Rican/Dominican singer Nicky Jam, who was part of this fresh remix too. Their hit “Amor de Dos” was hugely popular in Colombia, where Karol G is from.
She can already count on many famous collaborations in her career, especially with sensational artists like trap phenomenon Bad Bunny; the two released “Ahora Me Llama” last year.
It is good to see an increasing female presence in the Reggaeton panorama, since it has always been male-dominated. Karol G is a good example, and her attitude is reflected in her music. If you read the lyrics of “Mi Cama”, it is all about a single happy girl, whose boyfriend thinks she might be sad and desperate. But of course she’s not.
Karol G is ready for a European tour too, starting in the end of July to promote her album Unstoppable, released October 27, 2017. Let’s wait until tomorrow then!
