Kate Mara is quickly becoming one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood right now, having had a successful run on Netflix’s House of Cards as well as the first season of American Horror Story, she is becoming an actress to keep your eye on. She is also heading to the big screen starring as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman in FOX’s Fantastic Four as well as Ridley Scott‘s upcoming The Martian based on the novel by Andy Weir.
However, her acting credentials is ever growing, having just been confirmed to play the role of war hero Megan Leavey. Leavey saved the lives of many as her and her dog Rex searched for roadside bombs during her two tours in Iraq in 2004 and 2006. The film is the project of Gabriela Cowperthwaite, whose previous project was Blackfish, the documentary surrounding the treatment of Orca whales at the Seaworld theme park. Production on the film titled Megan Leavey begins in October.
