She might be the Duchess of Cambridge, but sometimes a designer label doesn’t determine what she will wear. Spotted in Mumbai, India as part of one of their overseas royal tour, Kate Middleton and Prince William were welcomed with open arms as they explored the rich culture of what India had to offer.
Kate, known for her exquisite taste in fashion, stepped out wearing a gorgeous multicoloured, patterned print gown as she socialised with the public. With a few modifications that allowed the duchess to show off her wedges, the dress was made by a local Indian designer.
The designer Anita Dongre was said to be ecstatic that the duchess had worn one of her designs and took to Facebook to share some pictures of her designs in action (who wouldn’t?!). Similar styles of the dress, which is called a Gulrukh Tunic Dress, can be found on her website here.
Sometimes staying local is the best…
