Psyclo was born in Shenyang, China, and she is currently based in Los Angeles, where she moved to study filmmaking. During her college years, the artist developed her passion for music, beginning to write songs first in Chinese and later in English, and she explained why: “I started to love the way English allowed me to express an idea. It’s more direct than Chinese, I think”.
Following her dream to be herself, Psyclo decided to dedicate herself to music. “I never felt myself until I started to write songs” she admits. Her artist name Psyclo, which looks like “Psycho”, represents a place full of unknowns, weirdness and fun, but a safe place where she could find herself.
She amazingly managed to express herself in her newest single “friEND”, a powerful track featuring elements of pop, punk and hip-hop that she wrote inspired by the throes of an heartbreaking, while she was feeling lonely in the huge city of Los Angeles.
