Composed of songwriters Marc Avery and Sean Carney, LA-based duo WOLVES have just released their latest single entitled “PRIMETIME”, a single with very rap and hip-hop vibes.
Birth in 2016, the duo has evolved well and this covid period has allowed them to produce an infectious song with a lot of wordplay and catchy 808s. The whole thing is reminiscent of early T.I and Pharell Williams tracks.
“PRIMETIME” also comes with a music video that is very California vibe heavy. The two singers are in the famous Venice Beach skatepark in Los Angeles with dancers around them dressed in the duo’s merchandise apparel.
The duo’s latest EP Welcome To The Top was a real success. Accompanied by producer KAIRO, the mix of his bass with Marc Avery’s vocals and Sean’s guitar make for the perfect combo. “Excellent” illustrates this perfectly, as the track was played at the 2021 NBA All-Star game.
Regarding their musical influences, Marc stated that they “wondered what it would be like if we took all these different influences we loved—artists like Rihanna, Post Malone, Coldplay, Earth, Wind, and Fire—and rolled them all into one band today”.
Having already entered he Billboard charts with their previous singles, according to their press release, the duo is hoping to do the same with “PRIMETIME” and that’s all we can hope for.
