Lady Gaga Confirmed For ‘American Horror Story’ Season Five | TV News
Known to her fans as ‘Mother Monster’, Lady Gaga has got herself a lead role in American TV drama American Horror Story. Following a breathtaking miscellany of The Sound Of Music’s greatest hits at this year’s Academy Awards, Gaga has released a promo of her role in the series titled ‘Hotel’. She tweeted the video below, along with the caption ‘Make your reservation now. #GagaAHSHotel’.
Despite having cameos in Muppets Most Wanted, Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, this will be Gaga’s first time playing a reoccurring role. The “Bad Romance” singer is not the first person from the music industry to join the American Horror Story cast. In the show’s third season Coven, the legendary Stevie Nicks starred as herself in witch form for two episodes.
The show’s producer Ryan Murphy often scours the music industry for possible cast members, also casting Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas in his upcoming series Scream Queens; not to mention the array of famous faces which starred in Glee. Gaga stands as the only confirmed cast member for American Horror Story Hotel but Hollywood Reporter wagers that recurring stars Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange and Emma Roberts will not return for this series because of other commitments. Although no official date has been set, American Horror Story Hotel will be aired in October.
