Popular pop singer Lana Del Rey has just made a rather surprising announcement on her Instagram account by revealing July 4 as the release date of her next album.
Indeed, the singer posted on her Instagram and Twitter accounts what seems to be the cover of her next album named Blue Banisters, she added in caption “Blue Banisters. Album out July 4th”.
Blue Banisters will be released on Independence Day in the United States and would be the follow-up to her March album Chemtrails Over The Country Club.
A few days after the release of Chemtrails Over the Country Club, Lana Del Rey also used her Instagram account to unveil Rock Candy Sweet, due out on June 1.
At the time, it looked like Rock Candy Sweet would be the singer’s next album, but she apparently decided otherwise. According to different hypotheses, “Rock Candy Sweet” will be the name of an upcoming single.
She had explained that “Rock Candy Sweet” will oppose accusations of “cultural appropriation and glorification of domestic violence”.
Lana Del Rey has been churning out new albums at a breakneck pace for the past few years, with Chemtrails Over The Country Club following up her 2019 release Norman F**king Rockwell.
Although her March album received very good reviews, it is no longer topping the charts. For example, it is currently at number 165 in the Rolling Stone album chart, and is not currently on the Billboard album chart.
