Levi’s And Miu Miu Reveal Upcycled Denim Collection | Fashion News

Last year we read, “Upcycled By MiuMiu. Giving new life to pre-loved Levi’s denim. Coming this spring“. A message posted by Miu Miu and Levi’s on their respective Instagram accounts.

It was accompanied by a photo of the iconic 501 jean’s label, repainted in light pink and signed by both brands. This announced the first collaboration between these two fashion brands, for a vintage and sustainable collection.

The first communications on the subject suggested that Miu Miu will rework vintage jeans from the Levi’s brand, and we are not disappointed. The Upcycling collection consists of pieces found in thrift stores around the world and reworked in their workshops. An initiative that does good for the planet, while celebrating the durability of vintage Levi’s jeans.

We were able to discover a collection of vintage denim adorned with pearls, glitters, as well as pastel colors. This teasing is the perfect mix between Levi’s jeans and the feminine touch of Miu Miu.

For this exclusive collaboration, models of 501 jeans from the 80s and 90s as well as trucker jackets were customized to create unique pieces with vintage accents.

Available only in an ultra-limited edition, the collection will first be unveiled at Selfridges in London and IAPM in Shanghai from mid-May. It will then be put on sale on the Miu Miu site.

This collaboration proves once again that luxury and sustainable development can go together perfectly.
