Lily Allen is back! Three years after her last album, she shares new music with the world in the form of “Trigger Bang“. It serves as her first official single for her forthcoming album to be titled The Fourth Wall and has an unexpected feature from UK rapper Giggs. The song was produced by Fryers.
The song is very melodic in nature thanks to the piano, Allen’s famed quirky vocals & British accent and sees her getting nostalgic as she reminisces on her childhood amongst other things. While the pairing is peculiar and in theory should not work, Giggs guest verse definitely does not seem out of place. Just imagine what an eventual music video could look like.
Along with the new album, Allen recently announced plans to release her memoirs next year detailing the many aspects of her life, from “the trauma and grief of losing a child, the highs and lows of fame, her family story, growing up in Britpop…” according to reports.
