A worthy winner. As ITV’s The X Factor sings its final song of 2015, seventeen year old Louisa Johnson has been crowned the champion after beating rival duo Reggie ‘N’ Bollie to the title; making her the youngest contestant to win in X Factor history. Louisa performed strongly and consistently throughout both of her final songs, where she won over viewers with her spectacular versions of James Browns’ sassy classic “It’s A Man’s World” and a soulful rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young”.
Fellow competitors Reggie ‘N’ Bollie delivered a highly energetic performance of Reel 2 Reel’s dance hit “I Like to Move It”, but struggled with their live version of “Forever Young”. Speaking tearfully after the results were announced, Louisa revealed: “I’ve imagined this day for so many years, you have no idea how much this means to me, thank you so much”.
The young talent’s Christmas single is set to be a strong contender for the number one spot; where the VAT from sales will be donated to children’s charities. See Louisa’s last performances and the moment she was crowned the winner below:
