Luke Perry, Star of ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and ‘Riverdale’, Has Died At 52 | Film News

 

American actor Luke Perry has died in California at the age of 52, less than a week after suffering a massive stroke. Perry was known for his role of  Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210 and had been recently starring as Fred Andrews on the CW show Riverdale. He also did voice work for the animated series, The Incredible Hulk.

The actor had finished shooting for Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and will appear on-screen on July 26. Playing alongside Leonardo di Caprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning and many others.

 

His publicist Arnold Robinson said he was surrounded by his family when he passed away; Perry’s children, Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, and his siblings, Tom Perry and Amy Coder.

 

The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning“, Mr Robinson said.

 

Riverdale has stopped production after the news of Perry’s death, as the US media reported. In a statement, Riverdale‘s executive producers, WBTV and the CW network, said Perry was “a beloved member of the Riverdale, Warner Bros and CW family“.
