On day one of the Milan Fashion Week menswear schedule, Italian brand Marni showcased their second menswear collection, for Spring/Summer 2016. Wielding leather satchels and letter holders, Consuelo Castiglioni’s first foray into menswear with Marni demonstrated her take on “European inflected bohemianism” and infused with vintage styling. Fuzzy sweaters, pointy collars and ankle length trousers made up most of Castiglioni’s designs, with lashings of bright red, royal blue and even seventies floral patterns to illustrate her retro inspiration. This is the second time Marni has shown menswear at Milan since launching in 1994.
