Married Australian Duo Hadyn And Merran Jones Release New Single ‘Through Suffering’

Australian couple, Hadyn and Merran Jones, based in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills, have released a new single titled “Through Suffering”. The couple has a passion for creating contemporary folk music and indie folk songs that draw on their Christian beliefs, with inspiration from artists like Sufjan Stevens and Jacob Collier.

The new single “Through Suffering” was written by the couple after their friend was sentenced to prison. The song is an indie rock track that speaks about the pain and the need for hope in the face of gloom.

The couple’s prison-bound acquaintance volunteered to join the military as a chaplain and is still working hard to give others who have lost everything hope. Despite all of the suffering, some inmates in that institution have found freedom in Christ.

Hadyn and Merran Jones also released their debut album Old Hymns New Tunes in July 2022, featuring new contemporary folk renditions of old hymns. In December of the same year, the couple released an EP titled Acoustic Christmas.

Both Hadyn and Merran grew up in musical households, with Hadyn being exposed to everything from Metallica to the Beatles, and Merran growing up with jazz, psalms set to music, Celtic rock, and a little bit of Spice Girls.

Their music combines contemporary and indie folk elements with Christian themes and beliefs, resulting in heartfelt and soulful tracks that resonate with listeners. “Through Suffering” is a powerful song that showcases their ability to create music that is both poignant and uplifting.
