Over the past month, we have seen the first official trailer for Captain America Civil War achieve shield-shattering appraisal and the news just keeps on coming, for Marvel Studios has released an official synopsis for the upcoming Avengers movie; confirming what we have already pieced together.
The synopsis reads: “Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers [Captain America] leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s [Iron Man] surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.”
Starring Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America, the movie centres around a feud between the former allies, which will leave the Avengers in turmoil. The movie also stars Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier). See the trailer below and catch the movie on May 6, 2016.
