The wonderfully talented SNL alum Maya Rudolph will be joining Rob Lowe and Fred Savage for multiple episodes of FOX’s comedy series The Grinder. She is the latest addition to the show’s growing list of impressive guest stars, a list that already includes the likes of Jason Alexander, Timothy Olyphant, Christina Applegate and Nathan Fielder.
Rudolph will reportedly be playing Jillian, Stewart’s (Savage) therapist, who he has been relying on ever since Dean (Lowe) swept back into town. Stewart recommends that his brash former actor brother pays her a visit in the hope that she will “bring him down to earth a little and start seeing things Stewart’s way”. Well hopefully Rudolph can stir things up a bit, and maybe finally sort out some of the Sanderson brothers’ issues. She is going to need all the luck she can get.
Rudolph will make her first appearance on the show in early February. The show will return with brand new episodes on January 5, 2016. Rudolph can currently be seen on the big screen alongside fellow SNL legends Amy Poehler and Tina Fey in the comedy Sisters.
