Megan Thee Stallion has released a new song “Southside Forever Freestyle” along with performance video for it to celebrate her birthday on February 15. Megan, who celebrated her 26th birthday, captioned the release on her Instagram: “Happy Birthday to me #MeganMonday”.
The rapper pays respect to her hometown of Houston. She drops her verses on the beats produced by Juicy J and LilJuMadeDaBeat. Megan starts the freestyle with lines: “Please bitch, do not try and cap on me. Like I ain’t the hottest out naturally. I go anywhere in my T-shirt and chain, ho, killin’ shit casually. Like I ain’t the hardest in Houston”.
Back in November, the rapper released her debut studio album Good News, following the release of the nine-track project Suga earlier in 2020. In August 2020, she collaborated with Cardi B on the song “WAP” and DJ Chose on the “THICK (Remix)”.
Before that, in late April, Megan was joined by her all-time favourite singer from Houston, Beyoncé, on a remix for her hit song “Savage”, and just last week, the rapper joined Doja Cat and Ariana Grande on the remix of Ariana’s “34+35”.
Moreover, Megan Thee Stallion and Bobby Sessions also released a joint track titled “I’m A King”, which serves as part of the soundtrack to Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America movie, which will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video on March 5.
