The shortlist for nominees of the Barclaycard Mercury Prize have recently been announced. The prize honours the best British album of the past year as chosen by a panel of British music critics. The list of this years nominees are:

Florence and the Machine – How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

SOAK – Before We Forgot How to Dream
Gaz Coombes – Matador
Slaves – Are You Satisfied?


The Mercury Prize winner will be announced on November 20.
