The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 has passed a monumental figure in box office sales, reaching $600 million in the global market. The final film in the Hunger Games series made $1.4 million in the US on December 22, which took the total to $257.1 million. The movie also fared well abroad, earning $1.4 million on December 22 ($343.6 million in total).
Despite $600 million establishing Mockingjay as one of the highest-grossing films of 2015, it’s actually the lowest earner in the franchise. The first film made $694 million, Catching Fire made $865 million, and Mockingjay Part 1 made a whopping $755 million.
