More Details Surface About ‘Avatar’ Sequel | Film News

The director of Avatar James Cameron has announced his plans for Avatar 2 which is in currently in pre-production. The sequels, which are also to be released in 3D, have not gotten a definite date for their premiere, due to changes in the scripts but reports suggest that Avatar 2 could be in the cinemas in December 2015. The sequels will be focused in the world of Pandora, paying attention to the planet’s oceans.

Zoe Saldana will retun as Na’vi Neytiri in the sequel, which will be filmed simultaneously with Avatar 3. About the filming, Zoe Saldana explained back in July that “James Cameron [and his team are] still working on the final drafts of the script, and then everyone in the cast will get the call. We’re going to be shooting mainly in Los Angeles, and that will make things easier for me since I live there. Because we’re doing the sequels back-to-back, and it’s going to take at least eight or nine months or more to finish the (three) films”.
